The Power Up Stabilizer has many therapeutic benefits for children and young adults with moderate to severe neuro-motor disorders such as cerebral palsy. This powerful tool is attachable and adjustable to accommodate most table tops, wheelchair trays, wheelchairs and standers. Another big benefit of the Power Up stabilizer is its versatility. One or two stabilizers can be used, dependent on the needs of the child.

Attachable and adjustable to the client’s height, the Power Up Stabilizer positioning tool can be used in a number of situations including:

Home Use

• At the kitchen table as a “handle” to sit up, hold head up or use eyes when eating.
• At a desk to hold on to and straighten and improve posture while practicing handwriting or doing homework.
• At a computer table to assist in posture control to access a computer.
• In the bedroom attached to a side table to hold onto to aid in independent dressing.

School Use

• On a wheelchair tray to better hold head up and straighten posture while doing class work.
• On wheelchair handles for better control when using augmentative communication devices.
• At a computer table to assist in posture control to attain better control with mouse and keyboard work.
• On a desktop to help with posture when doing deskwork.

Therapeutic Use

• On a stander to allow therapist to work on visual tracking and reaching exercises with client.
• On a Rifton table for work on eye contact, manipulation and upper extremity control.
• To aid in work on strengthening of upper trunk and neck for transfers and ambulation.
• To aid in upper extremity control for activation of assistive equipment, such as augmentative communication devices.
• Helps the child or adult sustain the achieved posture allowing the therapist to use intermittent facilitation or key points of control in other areas of the body.
